Finance Committee Corner Last Sunday $10,680 was received in the offertory
baskets at Mass and $3,389 was received through Parish Pay, for a total of $14,069. However, the weekly operating costs to run our parish, such as salaries, benefits, utilities, office and program expenses, etc., are approximately $20,000. This means
we had an operating deficit of $5,931 this week.
SHARE YOUR VOICE The Committee for Pastoral Planning would like to thank you for participating in our parish survey this past May. As you may recall, the purpose of the survey was to obtain your feedback on the state of the parish - what it is doing well and what it can improve.
At the church entrance is a Parish Report that includes a summary of the survey and suggested Goals that will assist the parish in preparing a Pastoral Plan to guide the parish forward in the coming years. The complete survey report can be found at
www.blessedsacramentnyc.org/share-your-voice and a printed copy is in the rectory office.
Based upon the analysis of the survey data, the Committee for Pastoral Planning is seeking your input again. The committee would like to discuss the suggested goals. The goals we decide on as a parish will be a significant part of the overall Pastoral Plan. Pastoral Planning increases the clarity of the parish’s mission and its priorities to achieve its mission. We have scheduled three SHARE YOUR VOICE meetings to give parishioners the opportunity to have direct input on what the goals of the parish should be and thereby help the parish to focus on how best to use its resources to achieve its mission.
The meetings will take place in the lower church hall. To ensure we have adequate seating, please stop by the church rectory or call the rectory at 212-877-3111 to sign up for one of the meetings that is convenient for you.
