Finance Committee Corner Last Sunday $8,779 was received in the offertory baskets at Mass and 4,474 was received through WeShare, for a total of $13,253. Thank you for so generously giving to our regular collection. The Feast of the Ascension collection totaled $1,946.
Second Collection this weekend Latin America and Home Missions This is a combined collection in the Archdiocese of New York. This collection supports pastoral programs in Latin America including evangelization, the formation of the laity, religious, and seminarians, as well as youth ministry and catechists. Funding is restricted to programmatic expenses and excludes building construction except in cases of emergency. The Home Mission Collection was launched in 1998 to provide for mission territory and parishes covered by US dioceses.

The Catholic Artists Society will host its seventh annual Mass for Artists on Monday, May 21st, at 7:00 PM at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament on West 71st Street. The Most Reverend James Massa, Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Brooklyn, will offer the Mass for the new feast of Mary, Mother of the Church, and the Schola Cantorum of St. Vincent Ferrer will sing music of Spanish Renaissance composer Tomás Luis de Victoria:
