The Little Dancer… a holiday family musical will have its world premiere on Saturday December 1st at 11a.m. and 1 pm at Theatre 71 here at Blessed Sacrament and continue through December 31st prior to it’s world tour.
The Little Dancer tells the heart-warming story of the most famous dancer in the world – Marie Van Goethem, who served as the model for Edgar Degas’ one and only sculpture.
Broadway Veteran and Parishioner Richard Vida, directs the show featuring a cast of 5 New York actors as well as 31 members of the Commonwealth Youth Choirs who make up the “Musical Theatre Geek Chorus.”
This holiday show has it all – a delightful story, singing, dancing, art, all wrapped into one hour of theatrical magic. Kids, parents and grandparents will leave the theatre humming the catchy, toe tapping tunes and filled with the spirit of season.

YOUTH CHOIR FOR 5:45 CHRISTMAS EVE FAMILY MASS Children (from grade 3 up) and Teenagers are invited to JOIN the CHRISTMAS EVE YOUTH CHOIR which sings at the 5:45 pm (previously at 5:30) Christmas Eve Family Mass. Rehearsals are on Tuesdays November 20 at 5-6 in the Rectory and Wednesdays November 28, December 5,12,19 at 4-5 pm in the Church and Thursday Dec. 20 6:30-7:30 in the Church. We have varied the days/times for those who want to participate but have schedule conflicts.

LECTOR/EUCHARISTIC MINISTER TRAINING This Sunday, November 18 th at 1:45pm.
Become more involved in the Mass. We are in need of more Lectors to minister the Word and Eucharistic ministers. If you have a love for Scripture and would like to serve as a lector or would like to administer Communion to your fellow parishioners as a Eucharistic minister, please come to the training session.

THE 2018 JOY J BROADWAY WALK On December 8th, The Joy J Initiative will hold its second Annual Broadway Walk to raise money and awareness to help the homeless of NYC. Donations from last year's walk mobilized over 500 volunteers who distributed more than 15,000 essential items to 1,200 homeless people. This year we plan to help even more people.

FAMILY MINISTRY Saturday, Dec 1 @ 5PM - Family Advent Wreath Making Event This is a great way to spend a cold Saturday afternoon with the family. Come join us for cookies & hot chocolate while making your own Family Advent Wreath. Kids will have fun doing crafts that teach the meaning of Advent and each family will also take home an advent calendar to countdown the days until Christmas.
