COLLECTION
Thank you so very much for your generous response to the needs of the parish. Your contributions of $1,427.68.in the collection for Ascencion Thursday and $10,749.62 offered for the Seventh Sunday of Easter, ($8,574.62 offered in the collection basket and $2,175.00 received through ParishPay) and $2,341.05 in support of the Soup Kitchen enable much good to happen here on the Westside. Again, thank you.
BOOK CLUB
Our next Book Club will be held on May 27th, 6:30 to 8:00pm, when we will be reading Maya Angelou’s “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings.” A book with a powerful theme of racism and oppression, it also raises important questions of how do we experience God’s love in suffering and rejection and how important is faith in a world where innocence is threatened by prejudice and sometimes hatred. Definitely a timely subject given recent events.
YOUNG ADULT MASS AND SOCIAL
The Office of Young Adults Outreach of the Archdiocese of New York invites you to a special Young Adult Mass celebrated by Timothy Cardinal Dolan at St. Patrick’s Cathedral (51st Street, between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue) on Wednesday, June 3rd at 7:30 pm. Music will be lead by Jackie Francois Angel and there will be a Young Adults Social after the Mass. Adoration with Praise and Worship and Confessions will be available from 6:30pm-7:30pm.
