COLLECTIONS FOR LATIN AMERICA & HOME MISSIONS THE CHURCH IN LATIN AMERICA faces many unique challenges. A lack of priests and trained lay ministers, high emigration rates, and the alarming pace at which parishioners are leaving the faith make it difficult for the region’s Church to provide for the faithful. It is more important than ever that we keep faith with the Church in Latin America and the Caribbean.
THE HOME MISSIONS APPEAL works to support home mission dioceses in the U.S. by supporting seminarian formation in poor dioceses. Often home mission priests and lay ministers require special training to attend to the unique needs of their faith communities, Your support is necessary for the success of these and other projects. Please help strengthen the Church at home through your generosity to the appeal.
NEXT WEEKDEND WE WILL HAVE A 2ND COLLECTION FOR BOTH OF THESE GOOD CAUSES. Please be generous.
COLLECTION Thank you so very much for your generous response to the needs of the parish. Our collection last Sunday was $6,647. $2,571 was received through ParishPay for a total of $9,218.
