LENTEN SUNDAY VESPERS Women in Scripture : "She has been a helper of many and of myself as well" (Romans 16.2), is the title of the Lenten Sunday Vespers series to be held at Corpus Christi Church. Beginning March 10, each Sunday will bring speakers to address the subject of women in the Bible, both New and Old Testaments. Preachers will be Rev. Mary Foulke, pastor of St Mary's Episcopal Church in Harlem (March 10); Dr. Amy Kalmanofsky, of Jewish Theological Seminary (March 17); Rev. This year’s potluck dinner brings families together to share a meal and families will have a chance to learn more/prepare for Lent. An evening of fun, food, music, balloons, and friendship. The kids are occupied by fun activities to do together, while parents get to spend time getting to know each other better.
Each family is asked to contribute one dish (take your pick: main, side, dessert, or drinks). Alternatively, families also have the option to just relax and show up by paying $50 per family or $75 for families of 5 or more. Please RSVP at [email protected]

Please join us for this year’s auction: “Speakeasy Soiree” at the New York Academy of Medicine.
The annual auction is the school’s largest fundraising event of the year. This fundraiser will consist of an online auction (2/28 – 3/6) culminating with a cocktail party and silent auctionon Saturday, March 9, 2019.
Proceeds from this event will help to answer the “Call to Action” and provide the necessary funds to continue improvements to both campuses. The auction has a rich history of raising pivotal funds that have transformed the School of Blessed Sacrament including a new library, computer lab, science lab and more.
Planning for the auction is in full swing and we need your help to make this event a success.

The Emmaus Ministry for Grieving Parents
Losing a child under any circumstance s terrible. Focusing on the spirituality of the grieving process can help tremendously. Mary Jebara and Mark Lewis will lead an introduction for beginners that will also be helpful for those who would like to refresh and renew their practice. All are welcome. There is no registration fee. A suggested donation of $20 helps Contemplative Outreach sponsor future contemplative events and training.
